About Us
Here to help your business thrive.
The success of the only co-working community in Aldershot
Aldershot Enterprise Centre was set up in 2014 to support startups and small and growing businesses by providing affordable office space and services to the Hampshire and Surrey communities.
Whether they came to us as a one-man band or already had some staff, our aim was to support them to help their business thrive.
Our Past
Mandora House was a former officers’ mess with an interesting and rich military history, including an overnight stay from Queen Victoria. Working in partnership with Hampshire County Council, Enterprise M3 and the Aldershot North Camp developers, Graingers, we refurbished the Victorian building to accommodate over 60 businesses. Nothing of this kind had ever been set up in the area before and over the last 9 years our team built up a reputation for being approachable, friendly and able to help any inspiring entrepreneurs.
Over those 9 years:
Aldershot Enterprise Centre was home to over 150 businesses
400 jobs were created because of these businesses
We and our tenants hosted over 1500 meetings and events
The centre was managed by WSX Developments Ltd, a sister company of WSX Enterprise Ltd.
WSX Enterprise has worked for over 20 years in partnership with a wide variety of different funding and delivery partners, to achieve one mission: provide practical, expert and trustworthy support that empowers entrepreneurs and businesses to create sustainable success, in ways that benefit and enrich the wider economy and community. Over this time, we’ve amassed a wealth of experience, knowledge, and capabilities, whilst also building up an extensive network of close relationships with organisations and businesses across the South of England.
Our Future
As our lease came to an end, we looked for new investment to continue our vital work in the business community. We found support from Rushmoor Borough Council who helped us secure the old ‘Muller’ building on Victoria Road in central Aldershot. Ideally located close to the railway station, the refurbished building can accommodate over 50 businesses with office space and further supportive services.
Our Co-Working Community
It can be a challenge when you start out in business, so our aim is to provide our tenants with more than just an office space. Our team are always here to offer a listening ear, advice on ways forward for your business or even just offer a comforting cuppa! We often run informal networking events so that you get to know like-minded entrepreneurs and can swap stories and ideas.
In addition to highly competitive rates on Office Space, Co-Working Space and Meeting Room hire, we aim to offer our tenants a friendly and supportive home for their business.
Our ground floor has ramp access from the car park at the rear and a flat entrance at the front door, so accessible for wheelchair users.
Our Team
Our approachable and hardworking centre management team are always on hand to help you with any queries you may have.
This is what they think of working for us!
Lorna Oldham: Centre Manager
“I think I have a unicorn job, a once-in-a-lifetime role where I get to help small businesses even in small ways that may just help them have a good day, which they turn into a good month. But we helped.”
Jo Harper: Assistant Centre Manager
“Life is difficult enough but working for a caring company, takes the stress out of the day-to-day life.”
