Lorna has managed the Aldershot Enterprise Centre since its opening in 2014.

A military wife local to the area, Lorna enjoys the challenge of running the centre and because she has been involved since its beginnings, it has allowed her to set up procedures and adjust them as the centre evolves. 

Having seen many companies come through the doors of the centre, Lorna has seen its growth and experienced the joy of watching so many of the occupying companies progress and become successful from just a desk and an idea! 

What does Lorna love about her job?

“I think I have a unicorn job, a once in a lifetime role where I get to help small businesses even in small ways that may just help them have a good day, which they turn into a good month. But we helped.

 

I enjoy helping all our tenants on their way to success. We have a diverse range of services available which fits with whichever stage their business is at. I enjoy finding them the right fit – be that a desk for an hour, a meeting room for two or an office space for longer. I’m proud that we can offer so much for local businesses and feel blessed to be part of something so special.”

Since joining Aldershot Enterprise Centre in 2018, Jo initially covered maternity leave but could not bring herself to leave the centre and became a permanent fixture!

You can often see Jo around the building improving things or creating artful corners and displays, there is no crafting tool or even power tool that Jo does not already have!

What does Jo love about her job?

“I love the fact that the WSX Developments is more like a family than a job, anorganisation that genuinely cares about its employees – you aren’t seen as a commodity, you feel like an actual valued member of a team.

 

Life is difficult enough but working for a caring company, takes the stress out of the day to day life.
